You may pay by a check with the application, or by a wire transfer of funds as described below. You can make additional investments by wire, by check, or through this website.

The Funds will not accept payment in cash or money orders. The Funds also will not accept cashiers’ checks in amounts of less than $10,000. To prevent check fraud, the Funds will not accept third party checks, Treasury checks, credit card checks, traveler’s checks, or starter checks for the purchase of shares. The transfer agent may charge a $25.00 fee against a shareholder account, in addition to any loss sustained by the Funds, for any payment that is returned. The Funds reserve the right to reject any application.

Purchase by Mail or Overnight Delivery

To purchase by mail, you should:

  • Complete and sign an account application
  • Write a check payable to “PRIMECAP Odyssey Funds”
  • Send your account application and check or exchange request to one of the following addresses

If you are making your first investment in the Funds, the Funds’ transfer agent must have a completed account application before you wire funds. You can mail or overnight deliver your account application to the transfer agent at the address indicated above. You may also fax the account application by calling the transfer agent at (800) 729-2307 for a fax number. Upon receipt of your completed account application, the transfer agent will establish an account for you. The account number assigned will be required as part of the instruction that should be given to your bank to send the wire. Your bank must include both the name of the Fund(s) you are purchasing and your name so that monies can be correctly applied. Your bank should transmit immediately available funds by wire to:

If you are making a subsequent purchase, your bank should wire funds as indicated above. Please contact the transfer agent at (800) 729-2307 to advise them of your intent to wire funds. This will ensure prompt and accurate credit upon receipt of your investment.
